Mr. William Ronald Lee Waters, 77, of Hudson, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.
Ronnie was born on March 23, 1948, in Rutherford County, to the late Willie Lee Waters and Mary Parker Waters. He worked for Drexel Heritage for over 40 years, before finishing his career with Henredon Furniture. Ronnie was also a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Army, a Purple Heart recipient and a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Hudson, NC.
Ronnies life was a testament to his love for God and his unwavering commitment to his family. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Biggerstaff and Shirley Whitt, and one grandchild, Chase Whisnant.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 54 years, Faye Carver Waters of the home, and two daughters, Audrey Alvarado and husband David of Hudson, Crissy Whisnant and husband Tracy of Morganton. Also surviving are six grandchildren, David Alvarado, Taylor Parham and husband Tanner, Trey Whisnant, Chesnie Whisnant and fiancé John Franklin, two great-grandchildren, Charlee Alvarado and Blakley Parham, a brother, Hubert Waters, one sister, Jane Guffey and husband Robert, sister in-law, Ann Carver who he loved like a daughter and a number of special nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. Friendship Baptist Church in Hudson with Pastors Jeff Stading, Lonnie Bell and Robert Livingston officiating. Military honors will be provided by the N.C. National Guard and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. at Friendship Baptist Church.
