Mr. William “Billy” Effrice Hyatt III, 51, of Connelly Springs, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 19, 2023.
Billy was born on January 11, 1972 in Catawba County to William” Bill” E. Hyatt Jr. and Linda Yount Buchanan. He was a member of the First Baptist Deaf Mission, which is a part of the First Baptist Church of Morganton. Billy was employed as a maintenance supervisor with Lexington Home Brands and was well known as an official for many local high school sports. He was a loving husband, father, and brother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Brandon Little.
Surviving is his wife, Chasity Hyatt of the home, his father William “Bill” Hyatt Jr. and wife Clara, mother Linda Buchanan, two children, William Trever Hyatt and wife Courtney of Valdese, and Abigail Hyatt of Valdese, and three stepchildren, Zachary Murray and wife Kendell of New Bern, Mackenzie Murray of the home, and Carly Humphries of Morganton. Also surviving are two sisters, Sandy Harmon of Connelly Springs, and Tina Milam of Hildebran, a niece, Brooke Little and a great-niece, Kyilie Benham.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, with Pastor Larry Barnes officiating.
The family will receive friends on Monday, from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
