One of the grittiest ball players I’ve been on the field with. Known Billy since the early 80’s from St. Stephens Optimist park. I was fortunate enough to have been on the same All Star with Billy in 1984 when we won a Little League State Championship. Billy actually propelled us through the Regional finals with a late inning home run which sent us to the state championship round of play. Keep your arm loose Billy, hope to see you again.
I remember Billy all through school. Was a great friend. Always kind and friendly. Sending prayers for his wife and family. His cousins I knew through school as well. Prayers for you all.
Billy was the sweetest guy thru school. He was a true friend. My condolences go out to his wife and family. You are in my thoughts and prayers thru this terrible time. Rest high on that mountain Billy. Till we meet again

Billy was truly a great person. I got to know him through officiating sports in Burke County Recreation. A great umpire and referee was Billy. Enjoyed anytime I was with Billy. He helped me several times by refereeing indoor soccer games and was always dependable. Ill miss him and look forward to seeing him again someday. My prayers are for the family and I pray God will fill the void that Billy leaves behind. Rest in Peace Brother. Love ya man
