Vickie Diane Carswell Cole, 65, of Connelly Springs, passed away June 5, 2024, at Catawba Valley Medical Center Hickory, after a period of declining health.
Vickie was born on July 23, 1958, in Burke County, NC, to the late Howard Carswell and Judy Lail Carswell. She was a lifelong and devoted member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Josh Cole and Andrew Cole.
Surviving is her husband of 48 years, Robert L. Cole; sister, Debbie Miller and husband Edwin; grandchildren, Marie Cole Laws and husband Ricky, Skyla Cole, Kyleigh and Malachi Laws.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Connelly Springs, with Rev. Curtis Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday, from 12:00 until 1:00 P.M. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 5770 Miller Bridge Rd., Connelly Springs, NC 28612.

I really wish I could have stayed for the service, but I am so glad I got there to spend time there with her. Vickie was a so good to everyone she met. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, niece….. She’s going to be missed, a lot, by so many. I know without a doubt in my mind that she’s with the Lord, her sons and Mama and all the rest of the family and friends who went before. I am so happy for her and can’t wait to see her again one day.
