Sylvia Coleen Pascal, 85, of Valdese left this earth to sing in the Heavenly choir on January 27, 2024 following a period of declining health.
Sylvia was born February 22, 1938 in Burke County, NC to the late Ben Pascal and Mamie Clark Speagle. She was a member at East Valdese Baptist Church for over forty five years, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and served in the nursery. Sylvia enjoyed gardening and animals.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father, Vance Speagle; brothers, Benny Pascal and Sam Pascal and wife Eileen; and sisters Gloria Pascal and Janet Loftin and husband Max.
Those left to cherish her memory include her niece, Wendy Pascal of Hickory; and friends Lyn and Shirley Yancey of Valdese, and Angie Pons of Hickory.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Ms. Sylvia was truly a faithful servant to her church, to her family, and to her Lord and Savior. Wendy, our prayers are with you.

She was such a sweet lady. She took great care of my son for a few years after he was born. She was the best and I am sorry to hear of her passing. Sending prayers to her family.
