Mr. Shannon Neil Childs, 46, Morganton, passed away on Thursday February 1, 2024 in Greensboro, NC, after a brief illness. Mr. Childs was born May 11, 1977, in Spartanburg County, SC a son of Neil and Kathy Cobb Childs. He was employed as CNC operator. Shannon was a loving and caring son and made many friends over the short period of his life. He enjoyed interaction with all group of people. Surviving are his parents, Neil and Kathy Cobb Childs and a sister, Amanda Childs Johnson all of Morganton. A Service of Celebration will be held at 6:00 P.M. Saturday February 17, 2024 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese with Pastor Paul Kidd officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 6:00 P.M. Saturday at Heritage Funeral Service.

I am so so sorry for this most devastating loss. Neil was always such a sweet quiet shy fella.I enjoyed picking at him. I loved it when he would blush from nose to toes . I pray God wraps you all up in his loving arms and all the most precious memories of a life well lived will bring you comfort until we all meet again
