Ramón Gustavo Nava-Almanza, 28, of Claremont, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
Ramón was born July 17, 1996, in Catawba County to Ramón Almanza Gonzalez and Yesica Nava-Cruz. During Ramóns younger years, he loved sports and Michael Jordan. He enjoyed thrifting, Vintage Harley Davidsons, and being outdoors. Most important in Ramóns life was his children, whom he was very passionate about and was working hard to be the best dad he could be.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Saylm Iris Church; son, Mateo Ray Almanza; partner, Emily Dew; brother, Eric Nava-Almanza; and sister, Amy Nava-Almanza. Also surviving is his maternal grandmother, Silvia Cruz Pozadas; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 5:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Gerson Lopez officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, prior to the service from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service.
The family would like to thank everyone for all of the phone calls, text, and support for their family during this difficult time.

Ramón nació el 17 de julio de 1996 en el condado de Catawba, hijo de Ramón Almanza González y Yesica Nava-Cruz. Durante los años de juventud de Ramón, amaba los deportes y a Michael Jordan. Le gustaba las compras antiguas, las Harley Davidson antiguas y estar al aire libre. Lo más importante en la vida de Ramón eran sus hijos, por quienes sentía mucha pasión y trabajaba duro para ser el mejor padre que podía ser.
Además de sus padres, le sobreviven su hija, Saylm Iris Church; hijo, Mateo Ray Almanza; su compañera, Emily Dew; hermano, Eric Nava-Almanza; y su hermana, Amy Nava-Almanza. También le sobreviven su abuela materna, Silvia Cruz Pozadas; y numerosas tías, tíos y primos.
El funeral se llevará a cabo el jueves 24 de abril de 2025 a las 5:00 p.m. en la capilla de Heritage Funeral Service con el reverendo Gerson López oficiando.

I’m so sorry. Ramón was the sweetest kid at Hildebran Elementary. He was always so helpful and the best big brother to Eric and Amy. Praying for all of his family during this difficult time.
