Mrs. Sherry Loraine Collins Drum, 61, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at her residence.
Sherry was born on October 20, 1962, in Caldwell County to the late Rufus Collins and Edith Collins. She was previously employed as a phlebotomist with UNC-Caldwell Memorial Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rick Drum, a daughter, Melissa Ball and a sister, Ann Kirby.
Survivors include her son, Ricky Ball and wife Jessica of Connelly Springs, five grandchildren: Makenzy Ball, Natalie Ball, Johnny Weaver, Dillon Weaver and Nolan Weaver, a sister, Debra Wright and husband William of Granite Falls, and one niece, Tamara Davis.
A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
Heritage Funeral Service & Crematory of Valdese is serving the Drum family.
My thoughts and prayers are with Sherry’s family. I haven’t seen her in many years but I often thought of her. We were friends when we were young and we had a lot of good times together. Rest in peace my friend! Tammy Yates Craig
