June Lillian Worthley Jepson, 86, of Valdese, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at her home following a period of declining health.
June was born April 25, 1936 in Norridgewock, Maine to the late Russell Worthley and Doris OakesWorthley.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda DuBry and husband John of Valdese, Carole O”Brien and husband David Crowley of Jay, Maine, and Janet Michaud and husband Brian of Oakland, Maine; grandchildren, Lisa Pape and husband Bryan, Nathan DuBry and wife Dena, Kim O’Brien, Teri O’Brien and Brianna Michaud, eleven great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren; one sister Bonnie Luce and husband, Wayne and two brothers, Carlton Worthley and George Worthley and wife Judy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Jepson, daughter, Cathy Diane Jepson; and brothers, Hugh, Leon, Stanley and Donald.
A memorial service will be held in Maine this summer.

June was a wonderful volunteer at Valdese General Hospital for many years. Even in her later years, she continued knitting/crocheting baby caps for newborns for UNC- Blue Ridge.
June and her husband, AL, were models of a loving, Christian couple. They adored their family and friends. Lastly, they served their community through many acts of volunteerism.
