Mr. Joshua Caleb McNeely, 31, of Burke County passed away unexpectedly on Saturday January 21, 2023 at UNC Healthcare Blue Ridge, Morganton. Mr. McNeely was born January 21, 1992, in Burke County, a son of Jamie Yount McNeely Cline and Christopher McNeely.
Joshua was a loving, comical person. He enjoyed working with his hands doing carpentry, remodeling and roofing. Josh lived life to the fullest with a bright light that he shared with only those closest to him.
Surviving, are his mother, Jamie Cline and husband Sherman of Catawba County, father, Christopher McNeely of Burke County, and three children, Lydia McNeely, Sophia McNeely both of McDowell County and Xaviar McNeely of Burke County. Also surviving are his sister, Crystal McNeely of VA, and numerous step-brothers, step-sisters, half brothers and half-sisters.
A Service of Celebration will be held Friday January 27, 2023 at 6:00 PM, in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Ronnie LaFevers officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese.

Josh was always very friendly polite and nice when he was anywhere near me. Sad to hear his live was cut so short .
