On Thursday January 18, 2024, our Daddy, Johnny Edward Lowman, 77, passed away with his girls holding his hands as he met face to face with his Lord and Savior and his wife that he has missed immensely over the last 20 months.

Johnny was born February 4, 1946, in Burke County, a son of the late James Edward Lowman and Gladys Barus Lowman Sigmon.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Phyllis Davis Lowman, and brother, Jerry Lowman.  He worked for Lowman Grading,  Ford Motor Co. and retired after  owning his own garage.  Johnny was a humble person that loved antiques of all kinds, especially his oil lamps and his 1962 and 1963 Ford Galaxie Cars.

Surviving are his daughters and their husbands, Angie Lowman Price (Kenny), Gretchen Lowman Pike (Chris), grandson, Matt Price and great-grandchildren, Ryan and Harper Price.  Also surviving is his sister, Gwen Hefner (Jonathan), his brothers, Joe Lowman (Janette), Jim Lowman (Carol), Eddie Chrisco (Donna), step-mother, Bernice Elliott (Dwaine), a number of nieces and nephews and his four-legged furry friend, Kuechly.

Funeral Services for Johnny Edward Lowman will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday January 22, 2024, at Bollinger’s Chapel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dr. Stephen Pickard officiating.  Interment will follow in the Bollinger’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
