Hayli Surayah White, 22, of Valdese, North Carolina, left her earthly home on February 8, 2024. Hayli was born April 11, 2001, in Burke County, the daughter of Shawn White and Angela Short Carswell. She was an Honor Graduate of Draughn High School and a member of Living Hope Church of Lenoir.

She is survived by her father Shawn White and Misty of Van Buren, AR. Mother Angela Carswell and Dustin Carswell of Valdese, NC. Brothers Tyler Short of Pineville, WV and Mordecai White of Van Buren, AR. Sisters Makenzie White of Morganton, NC and Noel White of Van Buren, AR. Also surviving are Grandparents Rose Adams of Valdese, Sonya White of Morganton, Virgil and Donna O’Neal of Valdese, Jerry and Marcia McCall of Morganton, Tony and Alma Pittman of Spruce Pine and Roy Carswell of Morganton. Great-Grandmother Leota Garrison of Morganton. Nephew Raiden Short of Pineville, WV and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by Grandfather, Carl White, Great-Grandmother Leona Dickens, Uncle Irron Hudson, and Great-Grandfather Charles Garrison.

Hayli was a beautiful girl who loved her family, friends and fur-baby Emjae. Hayli’s spirit was as bright as her smile. To hear her sweet voice would make all those around her smile too. To know her was to love her. She enjoyed doing her make-up, working with animals at Pet Smart and spending time with her family. Hayli recently gave her life to the Lord and was baptized on October 20th, 2023. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by many. She leaves a legacy of kindness and compassion. Her memory will be cherished forever by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Funeral Services for Hayli White will be held at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Living Hope Church with Pastor Gray Williams officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., on Tuesday, at Living Hope Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent to Living Hope Church, Bethel Colony Of Mercy for Women or Burke County Friends for Animals.
