Mr. Danny Roger Baker, 72, of Drexel, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at UNC-BR Morganton, following a period of declining health.
Danny was born on July 7, 1952, in Burke County to the late Daniel Joseph Baker and Mabel Beatrice Griffin Baker. He was a retired fixer in the hosiery and sock industry.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Baker Reid.
Surviving is his sister, Martha Baker Cooke and husband Fred W. Cooke of Drexel, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Heritage Funeral Service & Crematory of Valdese is assisting the Baker family.
