So sorry to hear about my cousin Calvin he will surely be missed he was a sweet person. You all are in my thoughts and prayers may God comfort you all love you all
Calvin, Tommy Singleton, and myself grew up together. We were known among our family as the Boomer boys. We were always hunting or fishing together, stocking our families freezers with food. We all three actually killed a bear while squirrel hunting out near Ginger Cake Acres. I haven’t seen Calvin in a while but my memories of our childhood will never leave me. Rest in peace my friend we will surely miss you. Love and prayers to the family.

Calvin is my first cousin, my dad’s favorite nephew, I would venture to say. He looked so much like my dad and his dad too. They were Alvin (my dad) and Uncle Calvin (Shuck) Swink, brothers. Dad and Shuck were close in age and mistaken for twins at times, I am told. My Dad took his nephew, Calvin hunting and once I went with them. That is a one and only time I went hunting. My Cousin Calvin gave me a strong talking to about gun safety, because I shot the gun by accident while checking to see if the safety was on while up in a tree stand, far from the rest of the hunting group, fortunutely. It was so cold I did not even realize my finger was on the trigger. That was a long walk back to the truck with Calvin letting me know how dangerous that was. I decided then and there that I had no business ever going hunting again.
Calvin was a good man, much like my dad was. He loved his family, his wife Christy, his children and grandchildren were his world. He will be missed. He was loved by his family too. Thank you Calvin for being a special person to your family and a great cousin.
You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
