Betty Jean Harris, 88 of Hildebran passed away Friday, April 7, 2023 following a period of declining health.
Betty was born on April 25, 1934 in Harlan County, KY to the late Charles Estell Dixon and Talithia Esther Osborne Dixon.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Denson Harris; son, Mitchell Wayne White; grandson, Jeffrey Dewayne Rutherford; brother, Robert Green; sisters, Frankie Watson and Ethel Green; and nephew, Don Greene.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Debbie Shackleford (Tommy), Michael Eugene White, Linda Pindell, and Billie Teague ( Jack); grandchildren, Brandon Rutherford ( Katrina), Alisha Allen (Jon Childers), and Erica Allen; great-grandchildren, Hayden Childers, Avril Childers, Whytt Childers, Jaxton King, Kali-Rae Smoak, Remy Smoak, Lindey Rutherford, Valerie Rutherford, and Finley Rutherford; and numerous other family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service.
Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Hickory.

I’m so sorry for you’re loss. I know that this is a hard and difficult thing for the family aspecialey for my loving friend Billie Teague, she loved her mother very much. I feel as if I knew Betty just by talking with Billie. Betty will still be with those who loved and knew her through your love and memories of her.
