Anita Jane Ramsey Hutchison of Greenville, SC passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Rolling Green Village, following a period of declining health.
Anita was born on October 25, 1941 in Burke County to the late John Welford Ramsey and Eula Beach Ramsey. She was a registered nurse in the Emergency Room for over thirty five years at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC. Anita enjoyed many different activities including: vacationing at the beach and shagging, attending Broadway shows and local plays, reading, participating in the Scottish Highland games, and going to the Carolina Panthers games with her brother.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Joseph Anthony Ramsey.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Hutchison of Greenville, SC; son, Jerry Hutchison and wife Trudy of Fountain Inn, SC; brothers, Bob Ramsey and wife Mary Alice of Marion, NC, and Larry Ramsey of Morganton, NC; and grandchildren, Jonathan Hutchison and Anthony Hutchison.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body will lie in state on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to Enon Baptist Church at 2059 Enon Rd., Morganton, NC 28655 or Lutheran Hospice of the Upstate at 429 North Main Street, Greenville, SC 29601.
Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory in Valdese is assisting the family.

My memories of my Aunt Anita are of happy fun times. She was very generous and Loving. I am so glad I was able to get to know her and love her. May you rest in peace. I love you.
Anita and I shared many good times as neighbors and friends in Dove Tree. Although she moved away years ago, I thought of her often and always enjoyed running into her occasionally. I am sorry to hear she passed away and will keep Jennifer and Jerry and their families in my thoughts and prayers.
