Mrs. Yvette Long Foshee, 90, of Apex, formerly of Valdese, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Transitions Hospice Home in Raleigh, following a period of declining health.

Yvette was born on October 25, 1932 in New York, NY to the late Ceasar Long and Henrietta Combe Long.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker, who will be greatly missed by her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of over sixty years, Curtis Leo Foshee, and three sisters: Monica Long, Peggy Reynaud and Elena Michelin.

Survivors include her four children: Tim Foshee and wife Robyn of Cary, David Foshee and wife Roxanne of Apex, Jennifer Hanes of Valdese, and Carolyn Foshee of Apex.  Also surviving are three grandchildren, Cal Foshee, Deanna Roberts, and Erin Matysek, and two great-grandchildren, Jericho Foshee and Boswell Foshee.

A graveside service will be held on January 28, 2022 at the Waldensian Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Valdese, with Pastor Sandy Roberts officiating.
