I am so sorry to hear the passing of Wayne. He was a great man. Loved playing golf with him as well. Praying for the family.
I first met Wayne in 1991 at Mountain View Baptist Church. I have never forgotten the friendly smile and voice. It did not take long that Vivian and I had a love for Wayne and Jean. I sometimes feel bad about someone making the transition but with Wayne I know he is with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit willing to do whatever job needs to be doing. Love you Wayne.
Norma,
I’m very sorry to hear about Wayne’s passing. Dickie passed away Feb. 15, 2023. Hope you are enjoying living at the beach. I will be praying for you, your Mom and entire family. Glenn actually came to see me back in the spring and I keep up with him through my Uncle Glenn.
God Bless!
So sorry to hear about the passing of Wayne. May the lord be with the family.
I love Wayne and his wife Jean. They are special children of God who ministrted to so many people and took no credit. They were always about the Lords work. Thirty eight years ago my husband left.. One Sunday at church someone handed me a card. It was close to Christmas and it was not signed. Inside was $100.00. For a frightened struggling mother with 2 children that meant everything to me. It was a long time later that the person who had handed me the card originally told me who it came from. I know I am only one of thousands who have been blessed by their kindness, generosity and love. This couple loves Jesus. We all will miss him but will always remember the many blessings he freely shared. Wayne, I know you are now resting in the arms of Your Lord.
Love, Donna Thornburg

Jean, sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. The two of you were so sweet and friendly to us when we started going to MVBC and it made us feel welcomed.
Sending our prayers for the Lord to strengthen, encourage and lift you and all the family!
Wayne was a man of bold faith and the love of Christ! I’m sure he was welcomed to heaven by man whose life he impacted! He always had a word of encouragement. I loved singing in choir with his sweet wife. I’m blessed to have known him and to have shared a church family with his family.
We are so sorry that we cannot attend as we are visiting our newborn grandson in Cody, WY. Wayne was a loving, caring man of God that walked the straight and narrow road. Enjoy your eternal time with your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You will be missed. Until we meet again, hopefully soon!
