Virginia Alice Cooke, 62, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Blue Ridge Healthcare Morganton following a period of declining of health.
Virginia was born May 6, 1960 in Burke County to Carl Thomas Cooke and the late Reba Berry Cooke. She retired from the hosiery mill and loved crocheting.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her son, Casey Cooke and his wife Jessica; longtime boyfriend, Alan Atkins; brothers, Robert Cooke and wife Denise; Tom Cooke, Steve Cooke; and sister, Mary Cooke.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese with Rev. Robert Cooke officiating. Interment will follow at Warlicks Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service.
