Travis James Brothers, 48, of Hickory, NC passed away of an unexpected cardio-vascular event Sunday, March 23rd, 2025 in Winnsboro, SC.

Travis was born on October 6th, 1976 in Massena, NY. Son of Gary Lee Brothers and the late Anna (Luther) Brothers of Lenoir, NC. In addition, to his late sister Kristine (Brothers) Jackson of Schenectady NY.

Travis is survived by his beloved wife of thirty years, Jennifer (MacLeod) Brothers of the home. In addition, their beloved dogs and cats Travis and Jennifer deeply loved. His son, Nathan James Brothers and his fiancé Emma Winkler. (Taylorsville, NC) His daughter Sarah Anne Brothers and her boyfriend Carlos Rambal (Hickory, NC) In addition to, his brother Aaron Luther ( Massena, NY) and his “favorite” Mother-in-law Barbara (MacLeod) Byers (Newton, NC) Brother-in-laws James MacLeod (Newton,NC) In addition to Jonathan MacLeod (Newton, NC) Nephew Eli MacLeod, and Niece Kinsley MacLeod. He was also survived by beloved family members in his hometown.

To those that knew Travis was a passionate individual whose love for his family and friends, motorcycles, traveling, and working on vehicles defined much of his life. Travis found joy and freedom in the things he loved. Travis was also known for his incredible work ethic. He was always someone who provided, cared, and loved to share his knowledge and understanding whether at home, or work. For Travis, work wasn’t a job. It was something that he took pride in and loved. In addition, Travis always provided the best for his beloved family members and friends.

Above all, Travis was a person who valued his beloved family, authenticity, hard work, and living life to the fullest. He had a humorous energy, and gave his heart to the people he loved the most.

In closing Travis will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Travis left us simply to soon. To you, Travis this isn’t goodbye. It’s simply a, see you later. Travis, fulfilled every role of his life as son, brother, husband, dad, and uncle our wish for you is to ; Fly High till we meet again.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29th, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Pastor Arlie Roten officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Rutherford College.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
