Tony Charles Alexander, 70, of Morganton, passed away on Sunday February 9, 2025, at Amorem, Burke Hospice, after a period of declining health.
Mr. Alexander was born, August 15 1954 in Cleveland County, a son of Charles Osborne Alexander and the late Carolyne Johnson Alexander. Tony retired after working many years with Valdese Manufacturing Co. now Meridian Specialty Yarn Group. He was both a diehard Tarheel and Packers fan. He played softball on several teams. He enjoyed being Pappy to his grandsons and great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Johnson; a brother, Donald Alexander; sister, Joyce Cloer; mother-in-law, Margie Page; and a grandson, Jackson Branch.
Surviving are his wife, Sherrie Page Alexander of the home; father, Charles Alexander; a daughter, Gabriella Street of Valdese; two brothers, Jerry and Kevin (Angela) Alexander of Morganton; a sister, Dana (Scott) Batson of Morganton; brother-in-law, Mike Cloer; father-in-law, Allen Page; a grandchild, Shawn Street (Melody) of Morganton; a great-grandson, Marshall Stephen Branch of Morganton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Gathering of Friends will be held on Saturday March 15, 2025, from 2 until 3:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese.

Charles, my heart goes out to you in the passing of your son. I pray that God will bring peace and comfort to your heart. Debbie and I cannot be there to speak to you on Saturday due to us being out of town with her father. We love you my friend and will be praying for you.
