Mr. Timmy Hillard Hartsoe, Jr., 43, of Connelly Springs, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Lake Norman Medical Center.
Timmy was born on August 19, 1981, in Catawba County to Timmy H. Hartsoe and Rachel Gryder Ervin. He was the head mixer for Mennel Milling in Newton and was a member of Lighthouse Ministries in Georgia.
Surviving are his two daughters, Jasmine Hartsoe of Valdese and Holly Hartsoe of Connelly Springs, his mother, Rachel Gryder Ervin and husband David of Connelly Springs, and his father, Timmy H. Hartsoe of Shelby. Also surviving are two sisters, Lori Tibbs and Donna Griffin; brother, Brandon McCrary; special first cousin, Heather Gryder; cousin, James McNeely; and an aunt and uncle, Lillian and Alan English.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 2:00 PM, in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, with Rev. Joe Dempsey officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service.

Timmy was an ordinary guy so proud of him turning his life around I went to school with him and his sister Donna always got along with both of them, May u rest in heavenly peace Timmy and u will be missed always gone but never forgotten my condolences to his family and friend during this very sad sad time God bless each of you if u all need anything please reach out to me love always

Timmy I miss you so much and losing my favorite cousin who really wanted me clean and would have helped me and even though he’s not here he still is. My cousins death has affected me but also inspired me to change my ways cause we don’t know the last breath we take and to die a using addict will not be the rest of my life. To those who said we can’t change my cousin is a testimony and legacy that will forever be impacted in my mind and heart. I love u Timmy an God knows how to pick them. Your a soldier and God’s child u are a gift and will always be remembered.
