Mr. Terry Lee Rhoney, 69, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Amorem Hospice of Valdese, following a period of declining health.
Terry was born on April 6, 1955, in Burke County and was a longtime truck driver for MDI. He was an avid hunter, who loved his cabin, watching wildlife and spending time with his grandbabies. Terry also enjoyed attending Burns Memorial Baptist Church in Valdese.
Surviving is his beloved wife, Donna Brotherton Rhoney of the home, and two daughters, Nicole Newton and husband Eric of Hickory, and Mindy Snyder and husband Brandon of Connelly Springs. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Erin Newton, Jordan Newton, Nicklaus Newton, Kamryn Snyder, Kayson Snyder and Katie Herrell.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 6:00-7:30 P.M. at Burns Memorial Baptist Church, 5490 Mineral Springs Mtn Ave., Valdese, NC 28690.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Burns Memorial Baptist Church, with Rev. Dwight Lowman officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Baptist Church off Miller Bridge Rd.
