My dear sweet mother Sarah Lynn Wright passed away on Friday January 6th 2023 at the age of 54 in Morganton, NC, following a brief illness. She will be so greatly missed by her family and friends and all her friends at Timberwood where she worked. Sarah was born on July 2, 1968 in Burlington, NC to Brownie and Geraldine Wright. Sarah attended high school at Williams high school and East Burke High and studied at Western Piedmont college. Sarah was a kind, smart, and an absolutely, stunningly, beautiful and amazing woman. She was generous and kind hearted and would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She was genuine and loyal, she saw the best in everyone and was kind to everyone she met. Sarah had a great sense of humor. She was easily the funniest person in any room, always cracking up, there was never a dull moment in her presence. Sarah loved music, and loved her music loud whether it was rock or country or anything in between, she was always listening to music. Sarah was a passionate animal lover-she rescued and cared for some really lucky dogs and cats throughout her life. My mother made sure I was loved and that I knew how to love and treat others, she showed endless empathy and compassion and taught me to do the same. She was a fun loving, free spirit that was so easy and comforting to be around. She was a beautiful person inside and out and had the purest, sweetest soul. She made a place in everyones heart with her warmth, love, and smile. Sarah loved her family and friends deeply and expressed her love through thoughtfulness, consideration, patience and lots and lots of belly aching laughter. She will be forever loved and missed. Sarah is survived by her Partner Darren Mabe; One daughter Kathryn Queen; Mother Geraldine Wright(Brownie), three sisters Susan Rowell (Bob); Linda Comerford (John); Cindy Krohn (Clayton), and nieces and nephews Katie Rowell; Lindsay Killian (Zach); Robbie Rowell (Elizabeth); Jennifer Comerford; and Josh Krohn. Sarah is predeceased by her loving father Brownie Wright.
A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.

I am honored to be able to call Sarah, “Granny” as we called her at Timberwoods, my friend. She was an amazing friend and my heart aches at the loss of her. Life isn’t the same without the laughter she brought to any conversation, her beautiful smile, and her uniqueness. I will miss Sarah deeply until we meet again, but will cherish every moment that I was able to spend with her and the precious memories. I love you “Granny” See you in Heaven!
So sorry to hear this sad news. You are in my prayers for comfort in this time of transition.
