Mr. Ruthven Sidney Beach, 88, of Morganton, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Carolina Caring Hospice of Catawba County, following a period of declining health.
Ruthven was born on February 20, 1937, in Burke County to the late Fred Beach and Cora Neidig Beach. He was a retired maintenance supervisor at Broughton Hospital and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Ruthven was also a member of Cross Memorial Baptist Church in Morganton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ann Nelson and seven siblings: Mary Virginia Beach, Ethyleen Murphy, Worth Beach, Blanche LaFevers, Vera Brittain, Ralph Beach and Louise Brittain.
Surviving is his beloved wife, Mary Belle Kincaid Beach of the home, one son, Darren Beach and wife Ramona of Morganton, and one daughter, Tracy Farnham and husband Brad of Glen Alpine. Also surviving are four grandsons, Cory Beach and wife Kari, Adam Beach, Josh Farnham and wife Ivy Grace, and Dylan Farnham, one granddaughter, Anna Farnham, one great-grandson, Mason Beach and one great-granddaughter, Daisy Beach, two sisters, Mary Tallent and Sarah Copeland, and a sister-in-law, Hattie Beach.
A Cryptside service will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, with Rev. Jeffrey Beach officiating.
