Ms. Rosa Lee Shoaf Evans, 74, of Valdese passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Frye Regional Medical Center.
Ms. Evans was born on December 16, 1948 in Rowan County to the late Baxter and Edna Hilliard Shoaf. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved caring for her family, and she loved her arts and crafts projects.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Evans is preceded in passing by her sister, Mary Gillespie and brother-in-law, Charlie Gillespie.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Harvey Augusta Evans; daughters, Jill Evans (Todd), Lara Burress (Stephen), and April Evans; grandchildren, Johnathan Caldwell, Audra Evans, and Alyssa Ritchie; great-granddaughter, Eris Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
