Mr. Robert Wayne Herman, 84, of Hickory, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at his residence, following a period of declining health. Wayne was born on May 4, 1935 in Burke County, to the late Johnny Monroe Herman and Edna Hudson Herman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and had retired from Corning Cable after 36 years of service. Wayne loved to fish, travel ,and be outdoors, and he loved his family dearly.
