Mr. Robert L. Nix, 83, of Hildebran, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Cambridge House Nursing Home, following a period of declining health.

Robert was born on August 9, 1939 in McDowell County to the late Charles Bradford Nix and Ollie Stone Nix.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sister, Ruby Nix and Inez Nix Mitchell, two brothers, J.C. Nix and Paul Nix, and a nephew, Russell Cooper.

Surviving is a sister, Christine Nix of Hildebran, two nieces, Patricia Baker of Maggie Valley and Connie Gisi of Cocoa Beach, FL, and a number of great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery in Morganton, with Rev. Marvin Wiley officiating.
