Mr. Robert Harvey Hannah, 80, of Lenoir, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville, following a brief illness.
Robert was born on April 27, 1944 in New Jersey to the late David Hannah and Edna Peer Hannah. He was a member of Amherst Baptist Church in Drexel and was the retired owner and operator of his own business, Hannah’s Heating & Air Service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight siblings, five sisters: Elsie, Janet, Marge, Joan and Cathy, and three brothers, Buddy, David, and Jack.
Surviving is his beloved wife, Alice Taylor Hannah of the home, one son, Brian Hannha of Iowa, four daughters, Sherry Medina of South Carolina, Michelle Jones of Lenoir, Stacey Simmons of Lenoir and Kristie Bettini of Raleigh, and two stepchildren, Sherry and Lee Burleson. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, including special granddaughter, Dakota who lives with Pop and Mamaw, four great-grandchildren, and special niece, Pattie Procaccini.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at Amherst Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Herman officiating. Interment will follow on Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at the Taylor Family Cemetery in Newland.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. at Amherst Baptist Church.

He also leaves behind four other grandchildren. David Hannah, Justine Miranda, Cassidy Hannah and Carlie Hannah. Three other great-grandchildren, Malina Miranda, Rowen Waddingham, and Brida Miranda. Whom loved you from afar as that’s all that we were allowed. Fly high, as I know you’re blanketed in the arms of Jesus.
