Mr. Robert Ernest Bowden, 63, of Morganton, passed away in a car accident on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.

Robert was born August 4, 1959 in Burke County to the late Leonard Bowden and Mabel Hefner. He enjoyed listening to music and playing his guitar.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Brown; and daughter, Amber Leann Bowden.

He is survived by his daughter, Melanie Rae Norman and husband Jeff; granddaughter, Hannah LeAnne Bowden; great-granddaughter, Madilynn Noelle Davis; sister, Barbie Hefner; nieces, Brittany Lynn Jones, Nikki Hammitt, and Jessica Hammitt; and special friend, Delbert Fredell.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. J.C. Shelton officiating.
