Robert Edsel McCoy, 72, of Connelly Springs, passed away at his residence on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
Robert was born May 29, 1952 in West Virginia. He served honorably in the United States Army, worked as a mechanic on heavy equipment, and was a member of Berea Baptist Church. Robert loved being involved in different areas of the church, helping out where needed and singing in the choir. He enjoyed helping his neighbors and could usually be found hanging out on Wednesdays with Mike, his dear friend, at Chicken in a Basket. Robert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved the Lord. He enjoyed tinkering with clocks and tractors; and will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Pearl Riddle McCoy; children, Chris Belcher and wife Wendy, and Karen Kennedy and husband Danny; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Steven McCoy and wife Brenda.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory in Valdese is assisting the family.
That peace that surpasses all understanding assures us that you will see him again.
Pearl and family,
You all are in my thoughts and Prayers during this difficult time.
~ Blessings, Crystal Pritchard
Prayers of comfort and peace for his family and everyone missing his presence.
