Mr. Richard Allen Davis, Sr., 75, of Morganton, NC passed away on Thursday July 5, 2024, at Autumn Care of Drexel after a period of declining health.

Mr. Davis was born September 15, 1948, in Burke County, a son of the late James Phifer and Geneva Allman Davis.  He was a member of the Cross Link Church, Morganton and retired as a lumberman and motor grader operator.

Surviving are his wife Brenda Turnmire Davis of the home and a son Richard Allen Davis, Jr of Morganton and Christopher Alan Davis of Morganton.  Also surviving are three sisters, Robin Mendoza, Paula Lail, Verna Lynn Lingerfelt and seven grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Richard Allen Davis, Sr. will be held at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday July 9, 2024, in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese, with Rev. Paul Speagle officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11 until 12:00 Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese.
