Rebekah Caroline Woody, 21, of Morganton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
Rebekah was born on August 20, 2003, in Burke County to Darby Alan Woody and Laura Smith Woody.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, George and Phyllis Woody, uncle, Derrell Collins; and cousin, Michael Bivens.
Surviving in addition to her parents, are her siblings; Darby Woody II of Morganton, Caitlin Wyke and husband Chad of Sneads Ferry, NC, and Deleah Woody and fiancée Cris of Valdese. Also surviving are her maternal grandparents, Bill and Marietta Smith of Asheville, her nieces and nephews; Dylan Wright, Rhylie Wyke, Gavin Wyke(Laura), Blaikli Wyke, Parker Wyke and Trenton Woody, great niece and nephew, Kaisyn and Marley Wyke, three aunts, Angela Smith of Asheville, Pam Collins of Morganton, and Tracy Coil (Gary) of Youngsville, NC, one uncle, Keith Woody (Shelia) of Valdese, and a number of cousins, relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 5:00 P.M., in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Dustin Camp officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 4:00 until 5:00 P.M at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
Memorials may be made to the special needs classroom at Freedom High School at 511 Independence Boulevard, Morganton, NC 28655.

Rebekah was a student in my first year entering education as a TA at North Liberty. She was one of my most memorable students of all time and I will always have good laughs and memories when I think about her. My heart truly hurt when I heard the news. I am very sorry for your loss, she will be truly missed.
