Mrs. Phyllis June Thomas Young, 75, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Carolina Caring Hospice of Newton following a period of declining health.

Mrs. Young was born on October 10, 1948, in Burke County, a daughter of the late Rose Thomas.

She is preceded in passing by her parents; a brother, Tommy; and sisters, Jewel, Freddie, Joanne, Janice, and Pat.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 39 years, James Allen Young; daughter, Paula Sigmon; son, Anthony Scott Bailey (Brandi); stepdaughter, Tracy Drum; grandchildren, Emily, Zachary (Kiana), and Morgan (Josh); greatgrandchildren, Lydia and Isaiah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Heritage Funeral Service on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 1 PM to 2 PM.
