Phillip Scott Swartz, 61, of Morganton, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at his residence after losing a courageous battle to cancer.
An amazing and talented artist, Phillip was born August 12, 1962, to Joyce “Kay” Swartz-Stookey and the late Phillip Swartz. He will always be remembered as a loving son and a loyal brother but above all, a truly genuine person.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Bonnie Gaither; paternal grandparents, Howard and Ruth Thompson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother and husband Larry; sons, Shawn Swartz and Eric Swartz; daughter, Sasha Swartz; many grandchildren; brothers, Mark Swartz and wife Lisa, and Tim Swartz and wife Amy; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
Heritage Funeral Service & Crematory is assisting the family.
