Mary Legg Brooks, 77, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 at her residence.

Mary was born May 7, 1945 in Tennessee to the late Rastus Paul Legg and Opal Johnson Legg. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Dale Brooks, brothers, Paul Legg and Herbert Legg and wife Shirley; sisters, Betty Holt and husband Gene, and Marie Wykle and husband Charles; and brother-in-law, Vernon Stansberry

She is survived by her son, Ernest Seal and wife Debbie; daughter, Lisa Watson and husband Jason; grandchildren, John Paul Seal and wife Corenna, Caleb Michael Seal and wife Tralee, Jessica Setzer, and Joshua Setzer; great grandchild, Levi Dalton Seal; sister, Gerald Dean Stansberry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.

Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory in Valdese is assisting the family.
