Martha Naomi Berry Warlick, 85, of Morganton, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at her residence following a period of declining health.

Martha was born November 22, 1939, in Burke County, to the late Lester Berry and Florence Townsend Berry.  She was a graduate of Valdes High School Class of 1958, attended Hopewell Baptist Church and retired from J. Iverson Riddle Center, where she worked as a foster grandparent coordinator. Martha was a loving wife and mother and loved being with her friends and family and especially enjoyed cooking and baking for special occasions for her family gatherings. You would always find a different meal prepared and it would always be wonderful. She also enjoyed gardening in her yard and planting flowers and was an avid reader.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne Berry and Don Berry, and sisters, Carolyn Morgan and Audrey Allison.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Jerry Edward Warlick; son, David Warlick and girlfriend Kimberly Wright, and number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at Hopewell Baptist Church with Pastor Braden Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Hopewell Baptist Church.
