Mrs. Margie Adams Williams, 94, of Morganton, passed away on Monday June 19, 2023, at The Berkeley, after a period of declining health. Mrs. Williams was born July 25, 1928 in Virginia, a daughter of the late George and Celia Tiny Brown Adams. Margie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an excellent homemaker and retired from the Cafeteria of the Burke County School System. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Cotton” Williams, eight brothers, Odis, Collidge, George, Buddy, Jake, Frank, Leroy Adams and four sisters, Hazel Osborne, Neeva Ferrell, Roma Walton and Ruth Grant. Surviving are her children, Donna Sullivan of Fredrick, MD, Bill Williams (Peggy) of Lakeland, FL,, Charlene Mabe (Rodney) of Morganton and Lisa Baker (Tim) of Morganton. Also surviving are the apples of her eye, her grandchildren, Robbie Sullivan, David Sullivan, Bryan Powell, Matt Baker, Luke Baker, Kacie Browning and her great-grandchildren, Cayleigh S ullivan, Connor Sullivan, Cora Sullivan, Collin Sullivan and Brayden Powell. Funeral Services, for Margie Adams Williams will be held at 2:30 PM Friday June 23, 2023 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, with Rev. Tom Nesbit officiating. Interment will follow in the Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:30 P.M. Friday at Heritage Funeral Service.
