Margaret Pons Lowdermilk, 90, of Valdese, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at her residence following a period of declining health.
Margaret was born February 19, 1933, in Burke County, to the late Charlie Pons and Agnes Young Pons. She was a member of First Baptist Church Valdese.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John C. Lowdermilk; and sister, Clara Jenkins.
She is survived by her children, Teresa Cline and husband Rick, Pamela Lowdermilk, and John Henry Lowdermilk; brother, Charles Pons and wife Pat; grandchildren, Shaun Cline and wife Lauren, and John Westley Lowdermilk; great-grandchildren, Monroe and Palmer Cline, and Dawson and Aria Lowdermilk; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 4:00 PM at Burke Memorial Park with Pastors Josh Lail and Pastor Tony Land officiating. The family request for attendees to please wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Valdese at 500 Faet St NW, Valdese, NC 28690 or to Amorem Hospice at www.amoremsupport.org.
Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory in Valdese is assisting the family.
