Mr. Lonnie Donnell Kincaid, 68, of Valdese, passed away on Wednesday January 25, 2023 at Mission Memorial Hospital, Asheville, after a brief illness.
Mr. Kincaid was born September 26, 1954 in Catawba County, a son of Betty Vernell Kincaid of Morganton and the late Doyle Pinkney Kincaid. He attended Morganton First Church of God and was a self-employed as a painter. Lonnie enjoyed being a member and working with the Burke County React Team. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and loved helping others.
Surviving in, addition to his mother are his wife, Vicki Young Kincaid, a son, John Christopher Kincaid and wife Jennifer of Morganton, two daughters, Donita Renee Kincaid of Lenoir, Sarah Leigh-Ann Loria and husband, James of Hickory, and a brother, John Harvey Kincaid. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Johnathan Chase Kincaid and Hunter Douglas Greene.
Funeral Services for Lonnie Donnell Kincaid will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday January 30, 2023 at the Morganton First Church of God with Rev. Jon McDivitt officiating. Interment will follow in the Burke Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from1:00 until2:00 P.M. Monday at Morganton First Church of God.

I am so sorry for your lose. Know that each of you are in my prayers and that I am here when you need to talk. I so enjoyed knowing Don. He either liked you, tolerated you or he just didn’t like you. Don was a good guy. Always willing to help when he could. So sorry for the loss. But he will always be in your hearts. He loved his family & talked a lot about you all. He loved his 3 little fur babies too.
