Mrs. Linda B. Cook, “Little Mama” 75, of Hickory, went to be with her Lord, on Monday March 17, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mrs. Cook was born, July 4, 1949, in Catawba County, the daughter of Ruth Parker Brittain Fulbright and the late Paul Edward Brittain. Linda, was retired from the Cambridge House as the resident administrator, a job she took pride in doing. She enjoyed being with family and good music, trips to the beach, mountain rides with her husband and footlong hotdogs with extra mustard from Circus Hall of Cream. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Danny Cook of the home, two daughters, Lisa Walker and husband Jason of Hudson, Lorie Woodward and husband Woody of Mobile AL. and a son, Dennis Buchanan, Jr. and wife Amanda of Hickory. Also surviving are the apples of her eye, her grandchildren, Ethan Herman, Coral Buchanan and her many grand-pups and cats.
A Service of Celebration will be held Friday March 21, 2025, at 6:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese, with Rev. Anthony Ferguson officiating.
The Family will receive friends from 5 until 6:00 P.M. Friday at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to the activity fund of The Cambridge House, 114 Tenth St. NE, Hickory, NC 28602.
Danny, Lisa, Lori and Dennis, prayers to all of you. In a blink of an eye we can be gone. Linda was a special lady and loved all of you so much. She was a good friend and a good neighbor to me and David for many years. Keep the memories of her tucked away in your hearts. May our Lord comfort all of you in this very difficult time.

Dennis my love and prayers are sent to you and your family. I never met your mom, however I do know you. She must have been a special person to have raised a son like you. May the Angels open their wings and surround you and your family comfort and peace.
