Mr. Lester Alan English, 65, of Morganton, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at UNC-BR Morganton, following a period of declining health.

Lester was born on Apil 15, 1958 in Mitchell County to the late Claude English and Zulline English.  He was formerly employed as a machine operator in the furniture manufacturing industry. Lester always enjoyed being outdoors, loved to hunt and fish, and being up in the mountains.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Alan English, one brother, Cecil English, two sisters, Ann Baker and Jolene Greene, and his best friend and nephew, Michael Riddle.

Survivors include four grandchildren: Xander English, Kalynne English, Lincoln Cole and Asa Cole, stepdaughter, Heather Cole, his nieces, Lori Bartlett, Tracy Triplett, Judy Butner, Cathy Davis, and Jeanie Mask and Angie Woody, and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Private services will be held by the family at a later date.
