Lee Roy Seay, 86, of Hickory, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at his residence.

Lee Roy was born September 16, 1937 in Swain County, to the late Ernest Seay and Rosetta McHan Seay. He was a member of Connelly Springs Freewill Baptist Church. Lee Roy enjoyed fishing and gardening in his spare time.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter, Mitzi Carswell.

He is survived by his wife Pearlene Woods Seay; daughters, Cathy Craig, and Carlene Setliff and husband Tom; grandchildren, Melinda Hullett and husband Lee, Lee McCall, Thomas Binegar, and Caleb Setliff; great grandchildren, Kevin Hullett, Justin Hullett and fiancée Brea, Caitlin Mackie and husband Parker; and great-great grandchild, Laina Hullett. Also surviving is his sister, Jean Bridgers and husband Jerry.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Paul Grindstaff officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
