Mr. Lance Dexter Carswell, 32, of Hickory, passed away on Monday February 20, 2023 at Carolina Caring Hospice, after a period of declining health.
Mr. Carswell was born January 13, 1991, in Burke County, a son of Anita Kaye
Carswell. He was employed as a Mental Health CNA with Broughton Hospital and was a member of the Hickory Masonic Lodge # 343, Oasis Shrine, Catawba Shrine Club and the Gator patrol. Lance was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Morganton, a hard worker, a loving son, husband, and father.
Preceded in death are his grandmother, Brenda Carswell, mother-in-law, Charlene Greene and father-in-law, Monty Dobbins.
Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Chasity Dobbins Carswell of the home, step-son, Carter Eckard, step-daughter, Kimber Eckard, his mother, Anita Kaye Carswell of Morganton,and sister Lacy Carswell of Morganton. Also surviving are her sister-in-law, Amanda Martin of Conover, brother-in-law, Tyler Dobbins of Scottsdale, AZ and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Lance Dexter Carswell will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday February 23, 2023, in Grace Baptist Church, Morganton with Rev. Marty Bess officiating. Interment with Masonic Rites will follow in the Mull’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church, Morganton.
