It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth Scott Stettler of Cumming, GA, who departed this world on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the age of 58.
Scott was born May 30, 1966 in Huntington, WV, to Ken and Marilee Stettler. He graduated from Huntington East High School in 1984.
Scott developed a passion for art at an early age, leading him to a fulfilling career in art and graphic design. He attended the Columbus College of Art and Design, Columbus, Ohio, for two years, then graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta in 1988.
In Atlanta, Scott embarked on a career that spanned 35+ years, during which he collaborated with numerous companies, brands, and organizations, creating designs that were both timeless and impactful. His passion culminated in the start of his company, brandExx, founded in 2000 and of which he was immensely proud.
Scott was known for his unique approach to graphic design that combined creativity, technical skill, and an unerring eye for detail. His work brought beauty, inspiration, and meaning to countless projects over his distinguished career, leaving an indelible mark on the world of art and design.
Scott was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and a generous friend with an infectious laugh and warm smile. Scott’s humor was a hallmark of his personality. He was the life of every party – quick to apply a quote from “Seinfeld” or a favorite movie to any situation or do a hilarious impression of family members or celebrities. He was an avid sports fan, his favorite teams being the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, Marshall University Thundering Herd, and UNC Tar Heels.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, business associates, and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Scott’s legacy lives on in the lasting impression he made on the world through his art, and in the memories of those who loved him.
He is survived by his children, Garrett Scott Stettler and Meredith Rae Stettler; his parents, Kenneth Stettler Jr., and Marilee Guigou Stettler; his sisters, Dana Leigh Stettler French and Andrea Marie Stettler Martin; his brothers-in-law, Robin French and Jeremy Martin; and his four nephews, Alex, Devon, Noah, and Grant.
