Kaye Hare, 62, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at home after a period of declining health.
She was a woman of faith who opened her heart to her friends and family. She will be sorely missed by all. Kaye loved her pets and was mourning the passing of her dog, Riley, at the time of her death.
She was born in Bluefield WV on June 25, 1961, where she graduated from Bluefield High School in 1981.
Kaye was preceded in death by her beloved parents Bob and Faye Cregger.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years Arch; brother, Jay of Bassett, VA; son, Zach and wife Emma of Claremont NC; and daughter, Molly of Glen Alpine NC. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Simon, Jeffrey, Jonathan, and Lily; and niece, Beth and husband Keith; and her children Waylon, Charlee, and Haylee.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory in Valdese NC.
I am deeply saddened by the passing of Kaye Hare. She was a loving and faithful person, always opening her heart to her family and friends.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. My thoughts are with her family during this difficult time, especially as they prepare for the upcoming memorial service.
Arch,
Our deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. We’ve shared so much through the years and will keep these special memories forever.
I knew Ms. Kaye from our years together in Girl Scouts. She was always outgoing and would do anything for her “girls”. She was always working with them on their next badge or lining up a trip for them.
God brought us together one more time after many years, before he took you home, and I am so thankful he gave us that time together.
I pray for peace and comfort that only come from our heavenly Father for Arch, Zack and Molly and her grandchildren.
