Mrs. Kathleen Yates Leroux, 64, of Valdese passed away on Monday May 13, 2024 at UNC Healthcare, Morganton, after a period of declining health.

Kathy was born July 20, 1959 in Ohio, a daughter of the late Thomas Richard and Norma Kingston Yates.  She was a loving wife, mother and a dedicated homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Joe Yates.

Surviving are her husband, Michael E. Leroux of the home, one son, Jesse Yates and two daughters, Melissa Yates and Jessica Pereze.  Also surviving are two sisters, Janet Gilbert, Donna Leroux; two brothers, Tom and Nate Yates; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday May 14, 2024 at Heritage Funeral Service with a Memorial  Service to follow with Rev. Marvin Wiley officiating.
