Kathleen “Kitten” Buff, 83, of Drexel, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at AMOREM of Valdese following a period of declining health.
Kathleen was born on April 7, 1941, in Burke County, a daughter of the late Ambers and Annie Lee Stamey Buff. She attended McGalliard Falls Baptist Church. She loved to spend her time embroidering.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by husband, Ray Andrew Costner’ a son, Carl Andrew Costner; four sisters; and three brothers.
Those left to cherish her memory include son, Todd (Julie) Costner of Morganton; daughters, Diane (David) Crabtree of Glen Alpine and Marisa (Patrick) Sabey; sister, Jeanette (Buddy) Nichols of Robbinsville; grandchildren, Dana (Bret) Withrow of Morganton and Kelly (Josh) Smith of Mooresville; great-grandchildren, Trey Taylor, Malia Withrow, and Parker Withrow; and special friend, Jean Nichols and family.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Drexel Memorial Park with Rev. Randy Clark and Denny Nichols officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 PM to 1:30 PM at Heritage Funeral Service.
