Karen Michelle Lail, 50, of Hickory passed away at her home on Sunday, February 5, 2023.
Karen was born February 2, 1973 in Catawba County to Brenda Norris Lail and the late Arthur Lail. She was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church. Karen graduated from East Burke High School in 1991 and then graduated from Kings College. She loved taking care of people and her family and it showed in her career as a paramedic. She liked to read, bake, cook, and keeping up with people on Facebook.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Dale Lail and wife Tresa; sister, Anglia Lail (Kelvin McLain); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, with Pastor Curtis Carroll and Rev. Rick Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 10, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.

I went to school with Karen! I am so very sad to learn of her passing. I’m grateful to have k own her. I remember her fondly.
