Judy Howard Fowler, 76, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at UNC Blue Ridge Morganton, following a period of declining health.
Judy was born May 16, 1947, in McDowell County, to the late Jonas Howard and Ada Howard. She had many hobbies from trout fishing, visiting the mountains, sewing, and being in her garden tending to her flowers. Judy was also known to be found wheeling and dealing at the flea markets.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Paul G. Willis and James D. Fowler; son, Lyndon Fitzgerald Willis I; and brother, Albert Howard.
She is survived by her grandsons, Lyndon Fitzgerald Willis II and wife Casey, and Tracy Scott Herman and wife Brittany; great grandchildren, Cooper James Willis, Christopher Gage Swallows, Isabelle Louise Willis, Silas Forrest Willis, Levi Gage Herman, Case Leigh Herman, Presleigh Rose Herman, and Willow Jade Herman; nieces, Robin Fowler, Allison Fowler, and Diane Roberts Crawford; and extended family, Delores Propst and Kayla Hefner.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory in Valdese is assisting the family.

Judy was always my summer buddy ,her mom and dad would bring her to our house to stay until school started in August .. they lived in Marion NC ,we lived in Mitchell co. N C .. your mom Ada was my poppyโs baby sister .she married 1 st Frank Roberts and a son and Daughter. When Frank Roberts died she met Jonas Howard they had the one daughter Judy she and I grew up very close ..I love you Judy and I will see you again one day soon on the shores of heavenโs home โฆ

Getting to know her, help her, and be with her was a blessing. She was a blessing and will be missed terribly. She was very much loved. I am so sorry. My prayers and thoughts are with youall.
